2025 Ophthalmic Coding and Reimbursement Update

Sponsored by Louisiana Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons

This 4-hour program will address coding, administrative and regulatory changes affecting ophthalmic practices in 2025.

Topics to be discussed include the following:

 What’s New for 2025: In this session, we’ll cover changes in Medicare rates, new and revised CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 codes, the revised FTC Eyeglass Rule and 2025 changes to affecting MA plans, telemedicine and the MIPS program

 Medicare Utilization Information. In this session we share the latest Medicare benchmarks and review how to do an analysis of your practice patterns.

 Scrutiny on Modifiers CMS Certain modifiers get more attention from payors than others. In this session we will review the frequently used modifiers, when they should be used and how they impact claims for reimbursement.

 Focus on Retina (short session) In this session we will discuss billing for injectable medications and dealing with the unusual practice patterns we see in retina practices

 Focus on Glaucoma (short session) In this session we will discuss some of the recent policy changes related to glaucoma surgery procedures.

This course will be presented by coding expert Mary Pat Johnson.
